A narrative Essay means that you tell the story from a certain point of view, and there is usually a reason for that. All narrative essays have characters, setting, culmination, and, most importantly, plot. The story is at the center of the story and is usually solved in chronological order, but sometimes there are flashes and memories.

Telling a story is something that can be both enjoyable and informative. When you are going to write a narrative essay, it is important that you know how to efficiently structure the contents of the article for better delivery. Let us take a look at what important pointers are necessary in writing an essay with a story. You can read about the prompts for the essay here.

How to write it?

A narrative essay cannot simply be identified as a paper that intends to research. Unlike a research proposal example, you need not worry about doing citations or proving what your claim is true. The main goal of writing a narrative essay is to simply tell a story to your readers.

So what are the important things to remember in writing a narrative essay? First of all, try to come up with a topic interest that you think can give you the best opportunity that will make you feel good about writing. This is important because it will give you a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment therefore giving you an edge to present whatever topic interest you have in mind.

Second, you should not impose anything in the narrative essay other than to please the minds of your audience. Do not put things that are usually encountered in writing articles with argumentative research topics or persuasive types of goals. Always make your essay simple in this aspect and be sure to include ‘lightness’ in discussing things.

Lastly, when you write a narrative essay, it is not bad to include some bits of information that will generate a good impression to your readers. Like writing an informative essay, incorporate at least some details or knowledge that will let your readers learn something from your story.

Studying at a university is very different from school, and studying abroad is different from everything you are used to. More independent work is required here. The amount of material for study grows many times.

First of all, studying at the university should be perceived as a temporary phenomenon. But the ability to manage your time properly is a useful habit that will stay with you for many years.

Lack of time. How do you deal with it?

Plan to study on your own

At the beginning of study, students are given descriptions of the course programs – sillabuses, where the dates of all the control and examinations are very clearly written out. Also, the main stages of study teachers talk at the first lesson.
From the very beginning of study it will seem that there is enough time for everything, but it is a mistaken feeling. It is better to take and fulfill tasks as early as possible.

Overview of the lectures

It sounds like advice from the captain, but the notes from the lectures really help to structure and restore the material during independent study. It’s also useful to share notes with other students, so you won’t miss anything important. It is useful to reread the abstract within 24 hours after the lecture, as well as before the class.

Understand, not just read.

This is, perhaps, the main point. Reading and scraping on the night before the exam will not have a deep effect, as a large amount of information that you will try to remember in a short period of time, will quickly evaporate from the short memory. In reading books and articles, understanding is important. Take short notes on text, short conclusions after individual sections, write down what you have understood, or paraphrase what you have just read. Translate unfamiliar words in texts only if they are key to understanding.

Use useful resources

When time is short and the reading list does not end, you can use the existing resources where the so-called study guides are collected – abstracts and paraphrases of literary works, main topics and concepts from different disciplines.

Say no to multitasking

It seems to you that you can manage everything, but it is not. Try to concentrate on one task for 20-30 minutes by turning off your phone and all notifications, with short breaks on social networks.

Rest

Do not forget to rest. The brain works in two phases – actively consuming information, and then digests it in the background. That is why it is important to take breaks, to spend the weekend on vacation, not on a toothpick. Walks in nature, sports, communication with friends, long sleep, and delicious food – all this will contribute to the deep learning of the material. But do not forget to go back to work.

Due to global quarantine, students and schoolchildren in many countries are learning online. This type of training has its own characteristics. But in this article, we decided to collect recommendations for writing an essay, which will always be relevant.

The first thing to pay attention to is the choice of the essay theme. The topic should be interesting for you as an author and meet the requirements for an essay.

1.Consider
If the topic is researched and the information is extensive and accurate, then you can proceed to the stage of analysis of available evidence. The author is required to accurately formulate the thesis, as well as to fix the arguments and ideas to be considered in the work. To be productive, the writing should be based on examples of similar works by other authors, where both the strengths and weaknesses of the presentation are obvious. Familiarity and comparison will make it possible to find the best way to write your own essay.

2.Reflection
In order for the work to be based on rational thoughts, it is necessary to compose several thematic questions and give a detailed answer to them. Preferably, it should be done in writing.

3.Clarity of thought formulation
Before you start writing, you should select and accentuate the leading and colorful thesis. It will be necessary to develop this thesis, forming the main idea of the essay. Thanks to this idea, the reader will understand the motives that prompted the author to choose a specific topic and its disclosure.

4.Working on a draft
In small sketches of the draft plan, it is necessary to draw the general features of the essay. Formulating brief sentences, it will be possible to express in full the main idea of each part. Alternatively, a list of the marked types will help you write the full version of the essay.

5.Introduction
The beginning of work on this form of essay should be an introduction that meets the characteristics of drowsiness and attractiveness. This approach should be the basis for the reader to continue “acquaintance” with the “work”.

6.Parts
If there is a basic thesis, the structure of paragraphs should be arranged in a circle. It is recommended to start the next part with the main sentence, where you should specify the essence. Then, it is necessary to present the thoughts, prove and convince with the help of strong arguments. The form of writing an essay should be a desire to directly address each reader personally. Experts recommend, for greater credibility and fidelity of the emotional perception, to accompany the process of writing an essay by saying the text

7.The result
The conclusion should contain a clear, clear, nd substantial answer, revealing the essence of the thoughts that the author sought to convey to the readers.

8.Proofreading and correction

Editing involves the process of proofreading and correct design of borrowings, which can be presented in the form of thoughts, ideas or phrases. Presenting them correctly will ensure that the author cannot be found guilty of plagiarism.

9.To make it complete

In the final proofreading of the essay you should pay attention to inaccuracies and errors of grammatical, syntactic and lexical nature. It is desirable to read the work several times, giving the text the appearance of a complete and ideal literary work.

10.Look at Samples

A good sample will show you an example of a good essay. This is why you should get more than one. Then you can compare and contrast them. The samples will show you different ways to approach the essay. You can get some ideas about how to do the research and how to formulate it. A good sample will show you how a writer followed the rules. It can also show you where they went in the script. A good essay should stand out, so departing from the “normal” rules may help you in some way.

Essay prompts is a statement formulated for the purpose of testing the writing skills of the student. In fact an Essay prompts motivation more than it tests the skills of the students by encouraging them to produce a piece of writing that reflects their skills and channels their thoughts. Thus an Essay prompts the student to express their knowledge in the form of an essay.

Essay prompts also have a purpose that goes beyond testing the writing skills of the student, as it helps the students analyze their own thinking. Students need to analyze what they have done as well as what they could have done, to devise a useful future strategy for the learning process.

Students of this class feel like a story is told and the story narrated to them in the form of Essay prompts. The task of writing an essay is assumed and then they write. They are guided and engaged by their classmates, who are also the storytellers and ask the students to analyze their own thinking to write an essay.

The structure of Essay prompts also helps students to realise and comprehend their skills and doubts in the relevant material. This process is very effective in honing the skills and analysing the skills of the students. The day when the essay is written helps the students learn about the basic research, analysis, source identification and concepts that they should include in their next research project.

When dealing with an Essay prompts you must be aware of the fact that the sole purpose of the prompt is to stimulate your writing. Thus to produce a good essay, you must be able to analyze the Essay prompts in a manner that is productive to your essay.

When writing an essay, the key point is to focus on the essentials. It is usually the process of combining ideas, facts, and relationships that will ultimately result in a great article. The best way to ensure that you get this job done is to take our advice and use the Essay prompts and focus them on the thesis of your paper.

Даже если вы сможете убедить своего читателя, в конечном итоге с вами свяжутся читатели эссе. Также важно осознавать, что вы действительно сказали читателям то, что вы хотите им сказать, в противном случае они останутся разочарованными.

Analyzing Essay Prompts

Some prompts are in the form of questions while others take the form of a stimulating statement. However, essay prompts are built around a few basic elements which you should be aware of in order to produce a good essay. Some of these elements are discussed below:

Don’t get confused when faced with an Essay prompt. It will always give you room to think creatively and analytically.

Essay prompts have well-defined boundaries that may restrict you from straying off the topic. Learn to respect these or your essay will lose its relation to the theme presented by the prompt.

Essay prompts may contain an indication to whether you are to write an argumentative, expository, persuasive, or narrative essay. You must learn to interpret this indication.

Essay prompts will give you a specific subject, topic or a theme to address.

A prompt is always aimed to produce original thought. Do not worry about being forced to write in a predetermined manner.

Essay Prompts Requiring Explanation or Deductive Reasoning

Some Essay prompts like “Why do you think we are faced with the problem of global warming today?” require deductive reasoning to answer the topic presented in the Essay prompts. Whereas, Essay prompts like “Explain the process of condensation of water vapors in relation to the water cycle.” require you to elucidate and expand a certain aspect of the Essay prompts, which in this case would be the process of condensation of water vapors.

When dealing with Essay prompts bear in mind that an organized and rational response is expected from you. Put your thoughts in order and present a logical and well-derived discussion.

Essay writing can be called one of the most popular and typical assignments for students of all levels of education – from high school to college and university.

Many books have been written on how to write essays or academic papers but today we will discuss some of the basic advice that students received personally during their undergraduate and graduate studies.

While the goal of the essay must be to provide an in-depth analysis of a particular subject matter, the theme, flow and structure of the paper must be completely revised if your audience is an unfamiliar or a non-teaching one. The subject matter of the paper must be as convincing as possible, yet true to the main concept of the paper. If there is something that is not true in the case study, it must be included in the paper. Here is an example of the content of a research paper:

Examining the impact of a vaccine used in treating polio on society.

It is necessary that the arguments in your essay must be supported by the support of your data. There must be sufficient details of your research or specific facts that are related to the topic. There must be logical proof for your thesis statements and the data that supports your claims. It is also necessary to link the supporting facts and data from different sources and to work with them through logical arguments.

Examining the role of insecticide usage in deforestation in Brazil.

Here is an example of a research paper:

What role does insecticide usage play in deforestation in Brazil?

All of the above examples are research papers written by our students while they were at university. We should always strive to ensure that the research work is logical, reasonable, and logical for others. If the results of the research are not supported by data, then the topic of the paper is wrong.

Today, it is easy to write a research paper as you can access the Internet and get lots of research tools and online resources. But if you want to write a research paper that could help you in your career, you have to do a thorough analysis and do it by using the tools that we have shared in this article. Good luck!

Essay formats play a very prominent role in essay writing. When someone goes through your essay, the first thing he/she would notice would be the essay topic and next would be the layout, presentation or the format of your essay. Thus essay formats help a lot with the first impression your essay makes and if you manage to reel in the reader the very first time he even looks at your essay; then you’re a successful essay writer

The formats of essay sketches not only help the reader to understand what we are talking about, but also help the writer to establish a logical sequence of his thoughts and ideas. To write an acceptable essay outline, you should look through the various essays written by professionals and be open to new and creative ideas of the essay. Absorb and be inspired by their writing styles and research as much as possible. These essays should be short and concise, which is also the goal of this particular topic.

The research part of your essay

Once you have all the necessary info gathered, it is time to start thinking. At this stage, do not get distracted by an emotional reaction or overthinking. The most vital thing is to obtain the complete knowledge about the topic you want to write about.

Research is all about identifying the material, verifying it and comparing it with the work done on the other side. For example, if you want to talk about Elon Musk, it will not be enough to understand the future projects of his company, SpaceX, you must read the positive and negative comments related to the same subject.

It is very important that the writer of the essay has collected all the information from the same source. You can read the results of other authors and compare them.

Don’t make the mistake of applying the wrong essay outline format to your essay. Each type of essay has a different outline format and mixing them up could prove very bad for you. Thus research before you apply any format to your essay. You can read about essay prompts in this article.

Benefits of Having the Right Essay Outline Format

Academic institutions have a specific criteria according to which an essay outline is to be presented in a proper format. Thus it is a requirement of the institution itself that the presented essay outline should follow a specified format.
In the particular essay outline that’s coming, it is suggested that it is definitely one paragraph of conclusion and two paragraphs of follow-up conclusion. A of the analysis section that’s likely to be the absolute two paragraphs of the present essay outline. The second part of the outline is very important. It ought to be very easy to read. A good concept for the ideal thesis statement. The thesis statement is the first and primary basis for the topic of your essay. It should be around a simple and concise statement of the objective of your essay. To be able to show you’re educated and eager to acquire something from your written work, it’s advisable to use simple terms and phrases and to use straight forward language.

Other than this compulsion, the essay outline format has various benefits which include the following:

  • Following the proper format for your essay outline allows you to keep track of all the information you include in your essay.
  • A properly formatted outline not only appeals to the eye but is also practically convenient to convey what information your essay contains.
  • An essay outline divides your essay so that it is compartmentalized thus enabling you to stay focused on your essay topic.
  • The titles and subtitles you classify to the essay format later-on help you to form a stabilized essay writing plan.
  • An essay outline structures your essay but leaves just enough room for you to be flexible and creative during the essay writing phase.
  • Choosing an essay outline format marks the beginning of your essay writing. Hence research in advance for the essay outline to ease off the burden of research you would have to bear during the essay writing phase.

In support of the importance of the pollution problem, I want to share a free essay with you.

Our planet Earth is just a tiny part of the universe, and at the moment it is the only place where people can live.

We have always polluted the environment. But up until now, pollution has not been such a huge problem. People lived in rural areas and could not produce such a huge amount of pollution, which could lead to a dangerous situation on a global scale.
With the development of industrial cities that produce a huge amount of pollutants, the problem became real. Today, our planet is in serious danger. Global warming, acid rain, air and water pollution, overpopulation are problems that threaten the lives of people on Earth.

Every year the world’s industry pollutes the air we breathe. A huge number of cities suffer from smog. Tropical forests are being cut down. Their disappearance violates the oxygen balance. As a result, rare species of animals, birds, fish and plants disappear. Many seas, rivers and lakes are filled with poison: industrial and nuclear waste, chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Air and ocean pollution, destruction of the ozone layer is a consequence of careless human interaction with nature, a sign of an environmental crisis.

People should think over their attitude towards the environment. Some progress has already been made in this direction. Various organizations hold numerous conferences to discuss problems faced by ecologically poor regions, including the Aral Sea, India, China and Chernobyl. Greenpeace is also doing much to protect the environment.

What can we do to save our planet? First of all, people must switch to alternative forms of energy, such as solar energy or wind energy. Secondly, the use of nuclear energy must be banned. Third, we have to recycle. This is the art of turning waste into new products. It would be nice if people started riding bicycles instead of driving cars. We have to protect nature. If everyone cares, it will change the situation.

Have you noticed that the average temperature on Earth is increasing gradually? Fifteen of the sixteen warmest years have been detected since 2000. The data for all of the past 1000 years is there, and from the 1550’s, the first millennium after the dawn of modern civilization, the increase has been less than one degree Fahrenheit. Eight of the warmest years in the last century have occurred in the last ten years. Now, climate change is a global phenomenon, but with every country in the world, individual political interests make it unlikely that a global carbon tax will be implemented. In China and India, there is no incentive to clean up, because their economies are depending on fossil fuels for growth.

Warming is the main problem of worsening climate on the Earth

The correlation between warming and high levels of CO2 is undeniable. Indeed, nearly everyone agrees that a major warming of the planet is almost certain if we do not cut back on our emissions. Yet, virtually no one actually wants to do anything about it, and some are even beginning to become uneasy. On February 24, 2017, Ed Maibach, president of the Center for Climate Change Communication, a nonpartisan group, published a “Survey of Faith Leaders.” They said,

To encourage citizens and government leaders to take action on climate change, the Climate Communication Project commissioned our national network of faith leaders to share their thoughts and concerns about the issue. The survey, which was completed by over 300 U.S. faith leaders in January 2017, revealed a mixed and complex picture. Faith leaders see environmental and climate change as being connected to the world’s other “domestic and international problems and crises.” Indeed, most cite climate change as among the most serious of environmental problems and what society will need to tackle if we are to overcome many other global challenges. At the same time, faith leaders are divided over how individuals and families should respond to climate change.

There is also little consensus about solutions. Some say that we should move to renewables, including solar and wind. Many are building solar and wind farms. Some are willing to switch to electric cars. The prospects of this happening are certainly unclear, especially in the United States. And although I am always in favor of nuclear power, it too requires further research. But nuclear power has some promising advantages over solar and wind, in that the costs will be less and that a reactor can be easily repaired. Nevertheless, I doubt that these alternative energies will really come to the rescue of our environment.

Is there hope for improvement?

At the moment, most are anticipating a warmer world in the years ahead. One theologian, speaking of his millennial teaching, said,

We are all trapped in the whirlpool of an accelerating future. To resist it is to resist God.

The Bible says that in the end, the poor and needy will inherit the earth. But I do not see that being the case for many of our grandchildren. The latter half of the twenty-first century, especially, will surely be one of extreme heat and pollution, in which our quality of life will certainly deteriorate. Yet the holy Bible does not say that the future will be kind to us. The Bible says that in the end, there will be wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, and other disasters. That is why the scientists are so worried.

The good news is that there are still things that we can do, if we will muster up the courage to do them. This is the message of Peter and Paul, and it is also the message of Pope Francis. This is especially the case with respect to the environment. Instead of standing by and watching the devastation of our environment, we should take steps to stop it. That means spending less money on fossil fuels, and if necessary, using alternative energies. This would be a courageous act, and many would, no doubt, disagree with it. But it would also be a necessary action.

The post Student Advice for Students. Writing a scientific article first appeared on faithorfact.com.]]>
Today I want to share with you my way of planning an article.

Start with the draft title

  1. Don’t waste your time at the beginning for long thinking about the title and choosing the right words. Leave it at the end. You will see, it will be easier and the result will be better. It is not worth spending the energy we have at the beginning on the title.

Write down your requirements so that you do not have to look for them repeatedly.

  1. write down your requirements so that you do not have to look for them repeatedly.
When I was writing an article for my first conference, I checked five times what its maximum length was, and then again how many words an abstract and other such details should have. Do you do that too? It is worth saving that time. Before you sit down to write, when you’re reviewing the requirements of a magazine or conference, write down the things you need to stick to – the deadline, the length of the article, the length of the abstract, the citation and bibliography style, and other relevant information. This will only take a minute, and it will save you more than just a minute – it will help you not be distracted while you are writing.

Ask yourself the purpose of the article

But seriously, why am I writing it? I will break this question into two parts:

  • a hypothesis or a question I want to answer. It is important that it can be described in one, maximum two sentences – this will make your article about it. It is easy to describe all the research and analysis you have done, but sometimes it adds nothing to the topic. Asking yourself a question – and writing it down – will make it easier for you to filter the content and choose what really matters.
  • Which research/analyses I want to present – this completes the first question. Write down what needs to be included in the article to be able to answer the chosen question. You will see, at the same time you will reject what does not have to be in the article – and if it does not have to, it usually should not.

Think about the references

Science does not exist in a vacuum. We are not alone and usually we are not the only ones dealing with a given issue. We are based on someone else’s work, and someone else will be based on ours. Therefore, before we start to create the content of the article, it is worth thinking about what work we should refer to. Who should we quote? You know – references will always include works that we use directly, quoting or showing someone else’s graphics. But maybe your conclusions wouldn’t be without reading this or that paper? If so, it would be worthwhile for it to be included in the bibliography as well. A moment spent on this before you start writing will help you to avoid later embarrassing “adding” more articles to your reference list and looking for a place for them in the text.

Plan the content… and time

Brainstorming
At this point I always act on the dirt first – I write out all the important things that have to be in the article. It’s always a little bit of a misash – some researcher’s theory from X that I want to refer to, a specific chart from my research, a graphic from another article that illustrates a good point – everything that comes to my mind as worthy of being put in the article.

Chapter plan
Then I prepare a plan for each part – I write out the mid-titles. Sometimes they are partially imposed by the magazine, sometimes I arrange them myself. I write where the individual elements from brainstorming are to be. I will add what is most important in each part. Often it is not about writing the whole article in the plan 😉 Rather, it’s about defining the structure and then, while writing, moving smoothly from one issue to the next, and not suffering from blank card syndromeі

Schedule

And now the most difficult challenge is to answer the question “until when? I set myself a deadline when a particular part of the article is ready. I look at the calendar, take into account other commitments and try to set a real date, demanding, but one to be done.
